Waste Incineration Plants burn household and hazardous waste from trade and industry, thus generating thermal and electro energy. 2005 has seen the closure of the familiar open landfill sites for waste deposit throughout Europe. This means waste incineration and composting have taken on an even greater profile throughout the world. NKM Noell Special Cranes refuse grabs and bulky refuse grab cranes adopt a key position in environmentally friendly waste incineration, as they load the waste incinerators with the mixed refuse. The cranes produced by NKM Noell Special Cranes can either be equipped with a 4-rope operation grab or a hydraulic motor grab. The 4-rope operation grab requires 2 hoists, one that supports the grab and one that closes and opens it. As the 4-rope operation grab has a redundant hoist system, its extended service life does not have to be proven. The motor grab is only provisory used to handle life fire pockets in the refuse bunker.
